This pelican was about 20 yards off shore from me. He kept staying where he was and I finally realized he was fastened in place by discarded fishing line. I found a park worker and he called park officials and the Lewisville Fire Department rescue. They brought in their amphibious vehicle and retrieved the bird. After park super gave a physical exam, ol' Pete here swam off to recover. Look at wing carefully to see laceration he got struggling to escape.
