Two Cooper’sHawks in a Light Rain
I was waiting for some light rain to stop before I got out of my car to look for birds. I thought that possibly a hawk would land in one of the trees outside the passenger window while I waited. I finally stepped out when rain let up some and surely enough there had been the hawk on the lower limb very near me, unseen. It flew across the small lake and perched. I went back to get the camera figuring a little water would be OK. Beginning to shoot distant shots of my subject and then slowly approaching, shooting, getting closer, shooting, I suddenly noticed the brown irregularity above my subject. I was treated to two hawks in a tree. These seem like young birds.
